In the second half, Carthage finally settled in a started to play a little bit better. They controlled possession for a good portion of the half, but had trouble scoring early. Parkview’s goalie made some very good saves throughout the game. In the 55th minute Carthage took the lead when Manny Marquez sent a cross the Carlos Luna headed into the back of the net. Carthage finished the game by scoring two more goals in the final five minutes of the game. Both goals were scored by Serratos. One of them was assisted by Walter Avalos.
The Tigers continue their season Thursday night when they travel to play Webb City.
